Everything was beautifully decorated.
All of the gifts were locked, loaded, and ready for Christmas night. Our wonderful church and Board of Honduran directors were at it again. They had planned an amazing party that they do for our children each year. This year we bussed the kids to our new school as we had the beautiful big auditorium.
So as I wrote this, “’Twas the week before Christmas and all of us jolly, we are ready for pork leg and a chicken tamale.” Okay my poetry is terrible, but we were all excited about Christmas food! Traditional Honduran Christmas cuisine is baked a pork leg for Christmas night, tamales made of chicken and pork at midnight, and in the morning it’s tamales!
Christmas is always celebrated on the night of the 24th, with the 25th being a very lazy day to sleep late, and play with our new presents. All this to say, many thanks to all who donated towards this year’s holiday festivities. This year we were just short of our goal. If you are able to help us replace those funds, it would be such a blessing!
Please designate the gift towards “Christmas 2016”.
